Best Shopping Malls in Bali

Updated: Apr 7, 2018

These 10 best shopping malls in Bali comprise a selection of the island’s most notable, found in major resort areas such as Kuta, Tuban and Nusa Dua, and Bali’s provincial capital of Denpasar which caters more to locals. As a resort island destination, Bali may be lacking in high-rising buildings and wealth of glitzy shopping malls, however some in these picks are quite large complexes with plenty in the way of dining and entertainment. The Kuta Beachwalk, for instance, is a massive beachfront shopping, dining and lifestyle center in Kuta with a design that is perhaps one of its kind in Indonesia, and with some of its tenants serving as destinations on their own. Others are home to great department stores and gift shops where you can source for quality fashion items or souvenirs, saving you the trip and the hard haggling at Bali’s major art markets. Escape the heat of the day, watch a movie, or simply go on a spree at these best shopping malls in Bali!

1) Kuta Beach-walk:-

Kuta Beachwalk broke grounds in 2012 as one of the most ambitious projects along Kuta’s main beach drive of Jalan Pantai Kuta. The shopping, dining and entertainment complex is the first and only of its kind on the island, boasting a freeform, airy and unique design that is a major departure from the typical mall. It has various luxury brand shops and boutique tenants over its three levels, with some of its venues on its topmost western edge, such as VH Bali, offering great views over Kuta’s rolling surf and sunsets. Besides standalone restaurants near its street side, there’s a major food court with a huge variety from local to international dishes, and it’s even home to one of the largest cinema chains in Indonesia, the XXI Cineplex. In all, it’s a great spot to escape to whenever you’re feeling peckish or want to escape the heat of the day while on Kuta Beach.

The mall underwent a series of upgrades and changes throughout the years, with the most recent additions being one of the largest ACE Hardware stores in Bali, a large Hypermart chain supermarket, several notable international fashion brands stores and an expanded multiple storey carpark. Embracing a ‘family mall’ concept, the Galeria comprises numerous dining outlets, regular live entertainment scheduled in its central courtyard, and there’s an adjoining Cineplex too, making it a favorite weekend destination.
